Regulatory Bodies Prosecutions

At K. E. Roussos & Associates, our fearless representation in the criminal courts has equipped us with forensic legal skills in regulatory bodies investigations and prosecutions.

Teachers Board

The NT Teacher Board can start an investigation or inquiry, transfer information to police under the Teacher Registration (Northern Territory) Act 2004.

If you are being investigated by the Teachers Board, you may be at risk of having your teacher registration suspended, cancelled, or being made subject to conditions.

AHPRA

AHPRA prosecutions are for offences under the Health Practitioners National Law.

A person found guilty of an offence against the Health Practitioners National Law may receive a significant penalty. AHPRA can also suspend or cancel a practitioner’s registration and disqualify them for applying for registration in the future.

NT WorkSafe

NT WorkSafe prosecutes individuals for offences under the Work Health and Safety (National Uniform Legislation) Act 2011.

Offences can carry very significant fines. WorkSafe prosecutions can be lengthy and can also lead to increased scrutiny of a business’s operations.

If you are being investigated by or have a matter before the NT Teacher’s Board, Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or NT WorkSafe, contact us for expert legal advice today.
